Double Post // Purples FOTD // Bh Cosmetics Day & Night //

I bring you a double post of my most recent purple makeup looks using the Bh Cosmetics Day & Night palette, one is a bit lighter & more spring-y & the other is a lot more dramatic. View the colours of the palette here.

For this first look I used a Face Of Australia shimmery purple shadestick on the lid which unfortunately caused the shadow to crease. Nevermind!

 

I didn't really get any other good shots of the makeup so this will have to do. I paired it with baby pink lips by using Nyx Narcissus l/s & Nyx Lala lip gloss. I also think the blush is ELF fuchsia fusion. I look a bit ghastly!

Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner, Lashes are Ardell Demi Wispies.

This is a more dramatic purple look using Maybelline Color Tattoo in Painted Purple as a base, more dramatic lashes & even brighter lips.

 Ignore the pose & pout, I'm trying to find a nice angle for my face shape :P

Face: Face of Australia tinted moisturizer ( I don't know why it looks full coverage, but at least my skin looks nice!)
Nude by Nature Eye Definer to contour, MAC Lightscapade to highlight. Inglot blush # 51

Eyes: These are the main colours I used on my eyes, to highlight I am pretty sure I used Nyx Milk JEP & a matte white shadow from Inglot to highlight.


 Smashbox black cream eyeliner used with a black eye pencil in the waterline & lash line, BYS lashes

Lips: MAC Viva Glam Nicki with MAC Hue in the centre of the lips.

And this just happened to turn out like this, the frosted bathroom mirror must have shined off on the flash lol.

These looks were actually done a while ago (I'm so far behind! I have so many to post) but I hope I don't bore anyone with my FOTD's especially when I don't have much to say in them.

How to Purple Smokey Eye & FOTD

Are you ready to see the most beautiful purple ever!?
I wanted to pair my beeautiful inglot shadow with maybelline's color tattoo in painted purple, since they paired up lol :P I also wanted to show you how badly it (color tattoo) applies :(
So since I haven't done one in a while I thought I may as well do a step by step yayyy. Hope you like!

~Eye Products used~
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Painted Purple // Inglot E/S #439 // Sugarpill E/S in Hysterics // Random matte skin colour e/s  // Sleek Bad Girl- black, purple. // BYS gel eyeliner // Bourjois curling mascara //Max Factor false lash effect

 1. After priming your lids, apply your base, I used Maybelline Color Tattoo in Painted Purple. (mehh hardly showed up! This is why it's just a base ;))

 2. Pat your fave purple eyeshadow onto the lid. This is Inglot E/S #439 that has a slight bluish tint to it.

 3. Blend the edge using windshield wiper motions.

4. Apply Hysterics to the crease.

 5. Soften the edges by blending with a skin coloured eyeshadow.

 6. Add some black in the outer V

 7. Blend using the darker purple.

8. Apply your highlight to the browbone & inner corner. & Add shadow to the lower lashline, I simply used the 439.

 9. Do your eyeliner & line the waterline.

 10. Add mascara..

11. ...Define your brows and you're done :D

Cheeks: Milani Luminoso (I don't know why it looks too orange on me :[)
Lips: Revlon Matte L/S in Pink About It

Annd I got my hair dyed again, pulled my base colour through the top layers to break up some of the lightness & put a gloss tint over the balayage so hopefully it doesn't feel so damaged!

Purple Arabic Look

When I was doing this I wasn't thinking of dong anything special with the eyeliner.. as you may have noticed, I barely ever go into the inner corner with it, but today I did & I really like how it turned out, kind of exotic & Arabic looking, hence the name.
 I didn't want to do anything too drastic for work with the eyeliner on the lower lashline but after I took these pics I ended up going all the way to the inner corner, which was nice for a change but not a look I'd go for all the time.

lol please excuse my hair! I washed it the night before then tied it up as I was getting ready for work so it made it all kinky aha

I hope Starryskies wont mind me using her method but it's soo much more easier to explain & visualize.

Inglot Prize! + Pixiwoo Inspired Purple + Pink

So I actually received it last week, by 'It' I mean the Inglot prize from Amalia which consists of 3 concealers & 2 lipsticks in a palette. Yayy my first Inglot products! & if this is anything to go by, I can't wait until the day I buy some of their eyeshadows!

Amalia sent them to me with the palette empty & the products separately in plastic. When I first swatched them they felt extremely creamy, & maybe a bit melted (who knows, it came from the sunny U.S to winter in Aus so that may have affected it) but now I can tell they are just extremely creamy!! I have used them everyday since I've received them & they apply so smoothly & last all day!! (well not quite all day, I haven't tested them that far)
        & for the lipsticks... gorgeous colours! the 1st one is more cherry & the other one more blue-based. I haven't actually used the 2nd one yet which I must! Only bad thing is that I cannot take this palette in my bag with me for touchups :(.
        Oh I should probably describe the palette- Quite heavy & sturdy, & very magnetic. To get the lid off you need to push it from the corner. If I wanna pick up the products I just put the end of the lid near it & it picks them up.

Unfortunatly It had been a while since I had seen it so I had to go from the top of my head. Which still wasn't quite close. Ohwell. At least I remembered the main colours! Please don't go to the video & think hurr durr it is no where near the same. I like it being different anyway :)

A pink from the 120 palette lightly over the crease.

Cheeks:
Fyrianne blush in Intriqued... I think this is the first time I have used it & I don't look like a clown! Its so hard to use a light hand with this stuff!! (Pictured.... on top of the Inglot lid) I should have gone with a more neutral cheek but I was drawn to it that day!

Dramtic Smoky Purple with lashes

So it may not be the most dramatic smokey eye, but I wore it to work but didn't go out so i think it was dramatic enough for that! lol. I was mostly inspired by this Kim Kardashian tutorial by pixi2woo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kfPXeol3OM 
The lashes are nothing special, just cheapies from ebay that i cut in half & really liked the look, got told it looked natural so i think i shall be using them more often!! Also i finally got DUO glue, i was using Ardel before & i had a reaction, so hopefully this works out! Otherwise i will be sad :( lol
