Summer Holiday; dramatic colourful cut crease

A couple of weekends ago was my besties 21st birthday party, and the theme was summer/tequila sunrise so of course I had to go bright with the makeup! To make it a bit more dramatic I turned it into a black cut crease and tried to make it a little more creative :) I hope you like!

~Eyes~
-120 palette: Red, Orange & Yellow on the lid.
-Nyx Black Bean drawn into the crease, & blended out with lots of black.
You can't really tell but I blended some blue into the black... I think I blended it away lol.
-Nyx White Pearl to highlight
-BYS gel eyeliner in the waterline
-Maybelline Master Precise eyeliner for the .. eyeliner.. & palm tree (just in case you couldn't tell what it was :)
-Nyx glitter e/l in Disco Ball
-#74 Red Cherry lashes

~Face/ Cheeks~
-Australis Paparazzi Perfect Fdtn
-I'm pretty sure I used MAC peachy keen
-Coastal scents 15 concealer palette (darker shades) to contour, set with Nyx Taupe blush
 -Some bronzer that didn't work out well lol

~Lips~
Nyx l/s in Pumpkin Pie (I think! or maybe it was summer love) & by the looks of it some lip gloss, ha :)

Also with the hair I wanted beach waves so I used a triple barrel curler, it didn't turn out how I wanted though, I think salt spray would have given more of a textured beachy look so I will try that next time.

 
~Nails~

Sorry for the messy edges... I did this not long before the party so I had no time for clean ups lol.. I've also stamped it later so I'll have to post a pic of that sometime :)

I got Naked... again!

I ordered the UD Naked palette 2 from Beautybay.com even though it wasn't as cheap as what it is over in the U.S but they had free worldwide shipping for a limited time only, & I would be kickin myself if I missed out as I didn't know how much the shipping would be. However I looked back at the site & it says Free worldwide shipping (but not mentioning limited time) so it must be like that all the time!
Plus I don't think I have come across any other sites (apart from ebay which is crazy expensive) that sell urban decay & ship to Australia apart from this one.

 If u can see, it was dispatched on the 7/3 and I only received it on the 26/3, But I'm used to everything taking so long haha

 It came in a nice big box with plenty of packing... stuff.. lol.

sooo pretty! hehe.  Can't wait to play with this & find out different combos :D

Clubbing FOTD x2

These 2 looks are from a little while ago now, god damn it I wish I could keep up with posting.. I want to do some non FOTD posts but its just too hard to find time lol.... anywaay, as the title says these are 2 clubbing looks. Nothing too special or dramatic but I really liked them.
---Look 1---

This is from after the Cup, & as my SO was out of town for a festival, having fun, we decided to have a girls night which is my first one in a while! I just applied more makeup over my day makeup instead of starting over.

I got this dress from Ally for $34.95, It is my first cut out dress & it is also a "mullet" style on the bottom.My hair held up pretty well too :)

-Nyx Black Bean JEP over the top of my other makeup
-Fyrianne loose eyeshadow in Immortal (This is a beautiful black colour that reflects many other colours & is quite glittery, especially when used with Pixie Epoxy)
-A bit more Satin Taupe, but really that's all that's different from my daytime look.

-Topped up my Fdtn with the same Australis Paparazzi Perfect, & with extra Nars Orgasm (I apply all of this straight over the top of my old fdtn, sometimes I use my primer again but because the powder from earlier has usually gone, it doesn't turn out cakey.)

-Lips I think may be Covergirl Lip Perfection in Kiss with Revlon Nude Attitude.

---Look 2---

With this look I also added it straight on top of my daytime look.

-I used Nyx Slide on Pencil in Black Sparkle as a base in the inner corner, and Nyx Black Bean JEP in the outer corner. 

-Nyx Loose Pearl Pigment in Nude on inner corner

- Fyrianne Immortality (same as 1st look) on the first half & Bourjois E/S in 04 on the outer & lower lashline.

-In the crease was mainly some brown from daytime but I used UD Naked to blend.
-With my finger i dotted some Pixie Epoxy over the top of Immortality & used that same finger I dabbed on Nyx Silver Glitter, only in the middle of the lid.
Lashes are from The Beauty Box in All A flutter [? not sure if that's the name]



I used Australis Paparazzi Perfect Fdtn again, & the blush is Nyx Pinky.
With the lips I can't remember if I used a lipstick but I know I used Nyx Lala lipgloss.

How do you like to do your makeup for clubbing? Dark & Smokey or do you focus on the lips?

Purple Arabic Look

When I was doing this I wasn't thinking of dong anything special with the eyeliner.. as you may have noticed, I barely ever go into the inner corner with it, but today I did & I really like how it turned out, kind of exotic & Arabic looking, hence the name.
 I didn't want to do anything too drastic for work with the eyeliner on the lower lashline but after I took these pics I ended up going all the way to the inner corner, which was nice for a change but not a look I'd go for all the time.

lol please excuse my hair! I washed it the night before then tied it up as I was getting ready for work so it made it all kinky aha

I hope Starryskies wont mind me using her method but it's soo much more easier to explain & visualize.

A Day at the Races Pic Heavy

Last weekend The weekend before it was Cup Day at the Races, one of the days where everyone gets dressed up & has a bit too much to drink, haha. You don't have to go to bet, although I did put a few small ones on though & only won a tiiny bit that didn't make up for anything, ahah.
Anyway, with my makeup I felt a bit like someone from the Old Hollywood era, with red lips & neutral eyes. However lashes & eyeliner spiced up the neutral eyes. Warning: Super Posey pics ahead

Didn't really get any good pics of my dress unfortunately, but you can kinda see it here

It was white & lacy all over, quite short (I never wear any dresses that short so constantly had my hands & my sides lol) & if you can kinda see, it had a wide frilly collar that went up at the back. I wore it with nude heels although It would have looked good with colour. I have had this for about 2 years & haven't worn it coz I was waiting for the right time, but I got it for $9.95 from Temt. Bargain!

-Stila Kitten on the lid.
-MAC Satin Taupe in the crease
-Blended with UD Naked.
-Applied Nyx Slate JEP on the lashline & softly blended up, with UD Gunmetal over the top & deepened with UD Creep.
-Black from the Barbie <3 Stila trio on the lower lashline blended into Kitten.
-Red Cherry #43 Eyelashes.

-Australis Paparazzi Perfect Fdnt- Nude. This Fdtn claims to not cause a white cast, which it didn't on this day probably because I had good lighting for my pictures.
-MAC Strobe Cream
-Nars Orgasm Blush
-I used my Coastal Scents 15 concealer palette for contouring followed by Nyx Taupe Blush & used the highlighter from the same palette.

-Maybelline Are You Red-dy L/S (I love this! What do you think of it on me? And please correct me if I'm wrong but I would say this is blue based.)

With my hair I curled it using a pretty large roller, I think its 1 1/2 inches & pinned it up to my head to cool down, doing it in pretty random sections. Then I let it down but didn't comb it out because I knew it would drop, but it held itself pretty much all day & night!

I was going to post my makeup for the "after party" but I think I will leave that for another post, so I don't slow down your computers!

Goldilux At Night

I mentioned that I finally got me some Sugarpill, & I said I would use them soon! I have used all the colours at least once already, and if I was actually organized I wouldn't have to post them a week later lol. Anyway, I did this not long before washing it off just to practice, I wanted a cut crease but I think the "cut" needs to be more visible lol, either way I like it.

my fdtn is barely hanging in there lol, after a long day of wearing it. Weird angle but I had to tilt my head up into the light to get a good shot.

This is how I wore it during the day, with browns from Sleek Storm & purple on the lower lashline.

By this time my blush had faded & I was only wearing lip balm, but I did add red lipstick not long before washing it off but couldn't get a good pic.

Also, especially to Mandy who wanted a review, the swatches are here, I just wanted to say that so far, I'm loving them! You really get a lot with them which will last forever as a little goes a long way, and they apply so beautifully! With any eyeshadow, a primer will make it last all day, but I don't think you need to use a base for the colour to stand out. I had absolutely no creasing either (with a different look, & that was after wearing it all day)

Blue Lagoon

Firstly yay I've finally reached 200 followers it feels like it has taken me forever but I had a slow start, thanks to each & every one of you :)

Anyway, On this day I wanted to stick to blues, the reason for it is at the bottom. May I say that I'm really proud of myself, as silly as it sounds, because I really like how this turned out, & hope you can see the depth that I tried to create with the colours, like in a nice blue lagoon.

You may see some small changes in the pics, the first one is from the very end results, It felt like it needed something extra & that's where the glitter came in handy. Also I added another tone to the lips, although I really like baby pink lips/ cheeks when wearing blues.

Originally I had only Black Bean JEP for the eyeliner but went over it with Nyx Candy Glitter Eyeliner in Teal.

So the reason I choose blue is that many of you may know Sonja from The Beautiful Life Of The Girl Next Door. & if you follow her you may have read one of her recent posts where she bravely tells us that she has been diagnosed with colon cancer.
She created some beautiful blue looks as the colour for colon cancer awareness is (ta da) blue & I wanted to do the same, hoping that I'm going to do her proud! We all wish you a speedy recovery xxx
