Don't get me wrong, I do not have the pleasure of being in Spring but I kind of feel like it is with all of the spring-inspired makeup looks going around lately. If you can't tell I am quite big in "matching" my makeup to the seasons but I can easily forget which season I am actually in, especially when I barely see any autumny looks going around.
Anyway, without meaning to on this day I was just applying my eyeshadow without really thinking of the outcome in the end, but I ended up with loving this combo! Although the eyes did not end up turning rose gold like they did in the jar, it still looked pretty. Paired with a very light blush and bolder lip added to the springy look.
This is also the same eyeshadow I was wearing in one of my swatches for the Maybelline One by One post.
~Products
Face: Rimmel Wake Me Up & Bourjois Healthy Mix fdtn. Bourjois Delice de Soleil bronzer, MAC Lightscapade. Topshop cream blush in Head Over Heels, Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso.
Eyes: Vanity Palette Matte Highlight shade [inner half of lid], Random rose-gold pigment [outer half of lid], MAC Golden Olive Pigment [crease], Wet n Wild Vanity Palette Dark Brown [Lower lash line],
Vanity Palette Highlight shade [highlight]. Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner, Prestige Brow Duo [highlighting colour, waterline]. Max Factor False Lash Effect & Maybelline One By One
Lips: Nyx Lip liner in Pinky, Milani lipstick in Rosehip, Nyx Chrome Eyeshadow in white [middle of lower lip].
I feel like the lip colour definetly added to the spring feeling, and the chrome eyeshadow that I dabbed on the center of my lips made the colour look less bright pink & more fuchsia while "plumping" up my lips.
Does anyone else in the Southern Hemisphere have the same problem as me with getting too inspired by everyone else's season to stick with their own? Or do you not really care if your makeup matches in with the season or not, for example wearing dark smoky eyes & wine coloured lips when it is summer, or barely there light makeup for winter?
And if you probably didn't see my last post the Procrastinating Beauty Blogger Tag I had a sort of big announcement which I am so excited about.
"Oh and I have some pretty exciting news :) I will most likely be going on a spending ban (awesome specials & the absolute essentials not included haha) as I had to shell out for a new passport... because my Fiancee and I have finally booked our holiday to America in July!! We have been talking about it for years so now that we've booked our flights and started on our hotels I am getting excited because it's actually going to happen!
So the main reason for my spending ban is because obviously because I am going to take a huge advantage of everything we get taxed so hard for... makeup, beauty, clothes, shoes.....and hopefully not go too much over the luggage limit haha.
I am already planning what I want to buy and what I will need to to take... it is going to be hard to select extremely minimal makeup that I can bring!"

The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger Tag
There is almost no tag suited better for me, so thanks for the lovely Dawn for the opportunity to complete this! I tried not to put it off for too long ;) And it was created by 'The Beau Bow'.
Rules:
1. You must copy and paste these 'rules' onto your post when you write it, it doesn't take long!.
2. You must state that this tag was created by 'The Beau Bow' and link www.thebeaubow.blogspot.com
3. You must thank the person who tagged you at the start of your post (link their blog as well) -follow them if you're feeling nice!, and then at the end of your post state who you tag, and then comment on their blog on their latest post to let them know you tagged them, and link your post so they can see what to do.
4. Title this post 'The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger TAG' so everyone knows what it is about.
5. Have fun! :)
1.Name a beauty regime that you rarely do?
I can't think of any of the top of my head, I always moisturize in the morning & cleanse at night, and I almost always apply my eye makeup and then my foundation afterwards in the morning, oh and I make sure to moisturize after a shower.. so there's a few that I always do :)
2. Is washing your makeup brushes something you do regularly?
I wish, I usually have to take my brushes into work to find time to clean them so I don't like to do that too often, but I try to make it no longer than 4 weeks! Which is still bad.
3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish?
Uhh yeah if it starts chipping I will usually leave it for a couple of days until it gets really bad, show me the time & patience to wait for my nails to dry every night!
4. How long do you put off buying/replacing a beauty or nail polish product even if you need it? (i.e purchasing a new topcoat, or a new foundation etc.)
I usually have enough backups in my stash that if I run out of something I always have a couple of stand in's, although it does take me forever to use up any products which can be a curse! But if it's something like makeup remover wipes if I haven't already bought any I might have one or two left before I buy more, or I might be scrapping my moisturizer out of the jar before repurchase.
5. What is your worst beauty habit?
Probably picking at my eyelashes when wearing mascara, ugh! Flakies and broken eyelashes are not pretty!
6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?I am always finding it hard to get into my TAFE assignments! But I try not to leave them for too long.
7. When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready until the last minute or not?
8. Can you commit to spending bans?
I have only really tried once, and it wasn't a proper one, ok! But if there is a really good special on... gotta pick it up, no matter the circumstances!
9. How organised is your makeup and nail polish collection?
My makeup collection is getting there, I have a trolley where each tray is sorted into face, palettes, eyes, lashes & hair stuff with baskets, and the main stuff at the top, but then I have more bags on my dressing table, a clear container for lipsticks and boxes of pigments and stuff.
But my nail polish is a mess jumbled into a box so it's almost impossible to find anything! I have no room for it.
But my nail polish is a mess jumbled into a box so it's almost impossible to find anything! I have no room for it.
10. What is the longest amount of time you have gone without writing a blog post?
I always have a few blog posts on the go, at the moment I have 10+ so it's getting out of hand & I am always adding to each post, so I don't generally go long without writing anything.
Alright so now I have to tag people, but because I am too lazy for that ;) I tag you all, for anyone who feels like they can relate to this tag!
Oh and I have some pretty exciting news :) I will most likely be going on a spending ban (awesome specials & the absolute essentials not included haha) as I had to shell out for a new passport... because my Fiancee and I have finally booked our holiday to America in July!! So yeah....let me know if you have participated in this tag :)

Face of Australia Sheer Gloss Lip Crayons // Review & Swatches
.If you are into sheer, moisturizing lip colours then Face of Australia Sheer Gloss Lip Crayons are for you. Packaged in a wind-able, chubby stick-like, well, stick, they are perfect to chuck in the bag for reapplication during the day without being a hassle. I apologize in advanced, as I was hesitant to post this as I found out they were limited edition afterwards but I still wanted to post my review & swatches.
Face of Australia Sheer Gloss Lip Crayons is a set of 3 glossy crayons, similar to Revlon's Lip Butters but in their Just Bitten Kissable Balm stains type packaging. There is a nice range of colours in this pack, Macaron which is a darker fuchsia pink, Cupcake which is a light baby pink & Sundae, a brown-y nude colour. Depending on how much you apply you can get a subtle or a pigmented colour, while still being sheer. Although it is not long wearing it is quick & easy to apply another layer on the go.
Packaging: Wind-able lip crayon where the packaging colour matches the lip colour making it easy to find which one you are after. I can see the plastic lid cracking after a while which means it will easily fall off in your bag, potentially ruining the tip. (think Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencils, damn you!). The name of the colour is easily visible on the side.
Texture: Feels kind of slippery to apply, but if you have cracked lips it will still show through, so apply lip balm & blot beforehand! It does feel moisturizing on the lips, though.
Longevity: Lasts for about 1-2 hours, but if eating or drinking I find it comes off faster, however it does leave a bit of a stain behind.
Smell: Vanilla scent that only lingers for a little bit, almost as good enough to eat as the names!
Cost/ Where to buy: As mentioned they are limited edition so I feel guilty in posting this, although I thought I had seen them around for ages! So if you may happen to come across across these, they were $14.95 and available at anywhere that stocks FOA, so Priceline, Big W, Target, K-mart.
I would recommend these lip crayons for a sheer lip colour if you don't mind reapplying on the go, although the Revlon Just Bitten Balm stains, which are very similar last longer, although a set of 3 of these are cheaper than one balm stain which retails for $17.95 in Australia.

Thanks for reading, I hope this post is somehow useful to anyone! xx

Copy Cat Makeup // Dramatic Coloured FOTN
Is it fair to say I was "inspired" by Misschievious on Youtube when I pretty much copied her drugstore makeup tutorial? And although I was drooling over the Sleek Lagoon palette she used, I knew I would have plenty of similar colours I could substitute them for. I love using a darker base underneath bright colours for a bright but smoky look, as done in my Jewel Smoky Eye Makeup, as it brings them out differently compared to a lighter base.
And although this was a bored-on-a-saturday-night-playing-with-makeup-look it wasn't a waste of makeup as we ended up going out in the end. Nothing worse when you do your makeup perfectly and then nothing happens!
Ignore the eyelash giving me a lazy eye! |

Maybelline One By One Mascara // Review + Comparison
So a few weeks ago I posted about buying 2 new mascaras- Maybelline One By One & The Falsies. I decided to open One by One first as I already had a few volumizing mascaras on the go. It's funny though I've been able to find these 2 mascara's compared to each other a lot on the internet. I've been using it for almost a month so I wanted to share what I thought although it has been out for a while.
My first impression of the mascara was something unusably noticeable, the scent. It is strong when it is opened & settles down when applied but would easily be a turn off for most people. Secondly the plastic bristles felt like they weren't combing through my eyelashes like it was just pushing them around. I found to make sure when applying to not only zigzag the wand but to curl it around so the brush would push right into the lashes, in order for my lashes to separate and lengthen.
I do have to agree that it defines the eyelashes, however clumping is easy because it seems to dry fairly fast on me so you have to be quick in between coats.. And because the eyelashes do get defined, when it clumps it easily turns into spider lashes. I don't really like the long & thin separated lash look without volume, which this mascara does not provide enough, so I use this to layer over the top of a voluminizing mascara which works better than applying One by One beforehand, so the already defined lashes wont clump.
Comparison
Disclaimer: please ignore the unmade eyebrows & eyes & the messy application!
My Essence I <3 Extreme volume mascara is on it's way out hence the clumping so it's not the best but I thought I'd better show it anyway. One by One clumped horribly that day, I think I left it too long between coats.
Overall once I learned how to use One by One properly I started to like it as a layering mascara but it did not provide enough volume & thickness on it's own, although it does separate the lashes, and the fact it causes clumps easily is a nuisance. I wouldn't rule it out of never buying it ever again but I couldn't state it as my holy grail as I would like one mascara that has the whole package. I probably will never use one own it's own again, though!
I still plan to use this for another couple of months as I hate wastage but I will soon be opening The Falsies Flared which I have high hopes for.
Thanks for reading hope it was helpful xx

- Separates and lengthens eye lashes.
- Good for layering with volumizing mascaras.
- Flakes throughout the day especially if you touch your eyes a lot (I do.. I play with my eyelashes -naughty- but I notice it flakes a lot more than the average mascara)
- I am also worried that my eyelashes may be coming out because of the flakiness.
- You have to be fairly fast in between coats otherwise it's clump heaven.
- Lacks volume & thickness.
- Strong floral scent if you are not into that.

Day To Night Makeup // Ft Wet n Wild Vanity Palette + Swatches
I love posting day to night makeup looks, mainly because there are only a few elements that you need to change in order from it going to a wearable day time look to a sexy & smoky night time eye. Here I am "showcasing" the Wet n Wild Vanity palette. The decision to go out this night was last minute so I didn't have time to completely change it up so it was easy to intensify what I had on from the day.
Day
To me this day look is quite boring, not enough definition in the outer v, I kept the lower lash line almost bare with just a bit of eyeliner in the waterline & the eyeliner is not dark enough, personally. But it looked nice with the glowy cheeks & lips. Maybe I shouldn't say boring but it doesn't do anything special for me.
I am really sorry but I cannot remember what I am wearing on the rest of my face! Apart from the usual foundation/ highlight/ bronzer.
Night
As I mentioned I didn't have too much time to change it up. Whenever I apply over old makeup I always reapply my primer which acts sort of like a cleanser in a way, and nothing cakes up. I even used my eye primer over the eyes & reapplied the eyeshadow for more colour. I did the usual winged eyeliner & also applied eyeliner on the lower lashline & waterline unblended for a more dramatic look. Add more more mascara & it's complete. I also kept under my eyes highlighted & started contouring from the temple to leave the highlight more defined.
~Products
Face: Models Prefer illuminizer, Australis Paparazzi Perfect foundation, Rimmel Wake Me Up, Garnier BB Cream (I do these all over my face & blend with my Real Techniques buffing brush for a flawless finish) Maybelline Age Rewind concealer, set with Palladio Rice powder. NARS Laguna, MAC Lightscapade. MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Warm Soul, Nars Orgasm
Eyes: MAC Painterly Paintpot, Vani-t Shadestick [light gold], Wet n Wild Vanity Palette: Gold [lid], Bronze [outer lid], Soft brown [crease] Dark brown [outer v, crease] Matte skintone [highlight, blending] Shimmery highlight [inner corners]. Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner. Bourjois Kohl & Contour pencil e/l with BYS Gel eyeliner.
Lips: Bourjois Levres Contour pencil #11, Nyx Black Label Lipstick in Nude, Nyx Glam Lipgloss Aqua Luxe in VIP
Swatches
The Wet n Wild Vanity palette offers 6 brown/ gold toned shades perfect for any neutral & wearable look. All swatches are done over Nyx's Base in White as I would always use them over the top of any kind of sticky base. I patted them on with a brush to get ultimate pigmentation, so be aware if you were to swatch it without any base it would not show up as pigmented.
Starting from the 1st row, top to bottom:
Left:
-A pinkish skin coloured base, good for blending or as a highlight. Meant to be similar to MAC Brule
-A mid toned soft brown good for in the crease or to blend out. Similar to UD Buck.
-A darker brown good for defining the lash line or outer v. Meant to be very similar to MAC Handwritten
Right:
-A vanilla toned light shimmery highlight colour. Similar to MAC Shroom?
-Gold, beautiful lid colour. Similar to UD Half Baked
-Bronze-brown, a nice pair with the gold. In between UD Darkhorse & Smog.
The left side has a matte finish and the right side is shimmery, if you couldn't tell by the swatches.
I have been (up until now) using the darker matte & soft brown colours to fill in my eyebrows as I have almost finished the brown from my Sleek Storm palette but now I have my NYX eyebrow kit.
How do you take your makeup from day to night?
Thank you for looking, as always!

Boohoo.com // Clothing Haul
A little while ago I ordered for the first time from Boohoo.com as they had a sale with clothing & accessories up to 75%. I see their ad on TV & in magazines all the time so I thought I would give it a go. I have only really just started ordering clothes online because they are something I'd prefer to try on first because sometimes when something looks good on the hanger it doesn't look as nice or is as flattering as what I thought, and my sizing can be iffy.
I thought they were Australian, but as far as I know they are in the UK but they also have an Australian website, with free shipping to Australia. Most of their clothing is reasonably priced and you can always find items on special.
Wet look Aztec print skater skirt
I don't have anything like this, and I absolutely love the print on it. I'm not really sure what type of top to wear with this as I usually have to copy other styles to put an outfit together, what would you wear it with? I've seen lots of looks with this skirt with a sweater, which would be appropriate for autumn.
Heather wet look skirt
I bought this because it was only $6 and I wouldn't mind if I didn't like it because of that. But when I first saw it, it looked no longer than a waistband! Luckily it is quite stretchy and I didn't find it riding up like I thought it would. It has an exposed zipper out the front that goes all the way down. I'm glad it was at the front otherwise anyone could sneak from behind and pull it down, what a disaster it would be! The waistband is elastic and folds over so it looks funny laid out but it doesn't when it's on.
Carol Jewel + Rose Peplum Top
I can't get enough of peplum styled tops & dresses because they are so flattering and will always hide the bloat! The print on this is stunning and it is so light & perfect for balmy summer nights. It has cap sleeves and a high neckline with an exposed zipper at the back that goes 3/4 down until the peplum separates so it opens completely. The only downside is zipping it up by yourself which is almost impossible but I did manage it after struggling, and because it is tight around the waist you can't pull it up already zipped.
Alice Georgette Leopard Collar Blouse
This is a sheer tie up back top with a leopard print peter pan-style collar. It has a sort of bubble style elastic bottom on it. I wore it with a black bra here but would wear it with a cami when wearing out. What styled bottoms would you wear it with?
Kelly Cut Out Tropical Print Skater Dress
I love the contrast of the bright colours against the black and the skater style with side cutouts in this dress. Unfortunately it is a little bit too big for me at the neckline & the straps so it hangs down a bit showing my bra from the top & the sides, but hopefully I can get someone who's nifty with the sewing machine to fix it. I took a pic of the back of it on it's own, stupidly ha.
I also ordered another dress but as I ordered when the sale was almost over so there didn't end up being any in my size in the end but I got refunded... and there were also some other cute tops but they had sold out in my size, waah!
The total of this order came to $100 which is really good for 5 items. I like how the website is set out, it is easy to select which type of clothing/ style/ colours you are looking for and I was so happy with how quick the shipping was. At the moment they also have a clearance on for winter coats at the moment.
What are your fave online stores to buy clothes?

I also ordered another dress but as I ordered when the sale was almost over so there didn't end up being any in my size in the end but I got refunded... and there were also some other cute tops but they had sold out in my size, waah!
The total of this order came to $100 which is really good for 5 items. I like how the website is set out, it is easy to select which type of clothing/ style/ colours you are looking for and I was so happy with how quick the shipping was. At the moment they also have a clearance on for winter coats at the moment.
What are your fave online stores to buy clothes?
