Neutral Arabic-Inspired with Ombre Lips!

I was inspired by one of my newest fave Aussie Youtubers, ChloeMorello. She is so beautiful & does her makeup gorgeously. I am pretty sure this is the video I was inspired by- however mine is not so wedding-y. It was really just the lid colours & placement that I copied haha.

I had so much fun doing this makeup! I have also started doing my under eye concealer differently, please let me know what you think! And also around the eyebrows & lips. I'm thinking of posting an updated foundation routine so let me know if you're interested.

Smokey Glitter; Subtle or Dramatic?

These are from 2 different weekends but I wanted to do a glittery cut crease & a subtle glitter clubbing look. I used the same Sleek Palette- my go to, dramatic-smokey-eye look Bad Girl in both looks with Glitter by Nyx. These are definitely way too OTT for during the day but perfect for an eye-catching night look.

Silver Glitter & Blue Dramatic Cut-Crease

Bad lighting in this look, my skin looks terrible :/. I think having the flu that week would have something to do with it, too. But I just remembered, the Fiancee has a horrible bluish tinged light, yuck!

Products
Face : (In both) Australis Paparazzi Perfect Foundation
MAC Peachykeen
Lips: Covergirl lip perfection l/s in Kiss
Eyes: Firstly I applied The Face Shop Dual Eye Colour in 'Silver' to the eyelid, and cut into the crease with Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in 'Black Bean' and also on the lower lash line & waterline. On the lid I applied the lightest grey 'Blade' from my Sleek Bad Girl. Over Black Bean I placed 'Abyss' from Bad Girl & blended with 'Obnoxious' (both blues, the darkest first) coming as far into the inner corner as I liked. I also applied some 'Noir' right into the crease for further definition. I applied these in the same order on the lower lash line. Also highlight with 'Innocence' (shimmery white)
Now again on the lid I applied Nyx Candy Glitter Liner in Disco Ball all over, setting with the Nyx glitter in silver (loose glitter pigment).
I applied my eyeliner - Maybelline Master Precise & slightly winged it up, mascara & falsies & I'm done.

Smokey Purple, Subtle Glitter
'Goofy Smile Alert!!!'

Face: Foundation as above, Blush: MAC Dollymix
Contouring: Coastal scents 15 concealer (dark shades) ,Nude by Nature Eye Definition loose powder.
Lips: (new fave combo!) Nyx Harmonica & Australis Boogie Woogie. (Harmonica is too frosty on it's own so these L/S are a perfect pair!)

Eyes: After primer apply Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in 'Slate' to the eyelid. Blend up slightly into crease. Apply 'Gun Metal' from Sleek Bad Girl (medium shimmery gray) on top, blending out. Apply 'Twilight' to the crease & blend out with 'Rebel' (both purples again from Bad Girl), do the same on the lower lash line & blend with a skin-toned coloured eyeshadow. Take Nyx Candy Glitter Liner in 'Disco Queen' on top of Gun Metal and then to set apply Fyrinnae loose eyeshadow in Immortal. {{As the shades on the lid are verry similar you will only catch a glimpse of the glitter which can make your eyes look more sparkly when they hit the lights at a flattering angle.}}
Apply your fave black eyeliner to the waterline & lash line, add mascara & falsies to complete the look.

Love this look on Makeupgeek if you would like :)
"Iz smiling coz you got this far :D"
I hope this was useful & that you enjoyed reading this post. Let me know if you like the way I explained how I did it or if it's too complicated w/o step-by-step's. That way I can just list the products on their own.

Thanks for looking <3 <3

Inglot & MAC Haul & Swatches

We went up to the city for a birthday on the weekend. I had planned to haul even though I'm on my "unofficial no-buy" but it was going to be every second month anyway & I haven't bought anything since mid July (lets forget that one lipstick, though... :))

I've always walked past the Inglot in Garden City (Booragoon, Perth) but new I needed to buy more Inglot ever since last time :) I was looking through every thing & was only going to buy a 5 piece freedom palette until they told me apparently Inglot is shutting down in Perth?? There are only 2 counters in Karrinyup & Booragoon so if you live in Perth, get down there before October 11!  W.A gets so hard done by for everything and now they want to take away Inglot. :(  But since they have only had just over a months notice I'm hoping they are going to build a bigger & better shop. (maybe, we can wish though)

The ladies who helped me were so helpful.. I had a list on my phone of some numbers but that got too hard :P. I especially wanted colours that I didn't have anything like (as you do) although it was so overwhelming that I picked a couple that I might have similar colours to already -.-.  I *cringe* accidently dropped a tester face down onto the counter and felt soo bad but she said it was fine & it happens all the time.... swept it up in the bin... I was kicking myself because I should have asked to get it put into a jar & payed for it anyway! At the end she also offered to put them into the palette for me but where's the fun in that :P

...Onto the haul & swatches ...

 If you don't know much about Inglot, The shade names are arranged into 5 finishes;

"Matte, which has no sheen or shimmer.
Pearl, which has both shimmer and sheen and is my personal favourite.
Double Sparkle (or DS) is a satin formulation with microfine shimmer.
AMC is similar to DS but with less sparkle, the shimmer is few and far in between.
AMC Shine is a more metallic/frosty finish eyeshadow with a high level of sheen."

Quoted from one of my fave bloggers- Karima at shameless-fripperies

Eyeshadows are $10 each + extra cost for the palette depending on the size.

All pics: Top- Flash, Bottom- Natural {diminishing} Light
TOP ROW

L-R: M 373, P 393, P 407, DS 460, P 420
I'm so happy that I finally have a good matte white! It didn't swatch the best here but it is so pigmented. I'm also really happy with the 2nd highlighting colour & the taupey colours on the end. The middle one is probably something I have that's very similar already.

Sorry that my swatches aren't the best. I would appreciate any tips on getting good swatches! I did put a layer of foundation on first just so they would stick instead of just primer. I just find it hard to put on neatly with my finger, or does everybody else use a brush??

L-R AMC Shine 39, AMC 74, AMC 68, M 338, P 428
I only got a couple of mattes because I don't use them as much.. but I will probably get more next time for more of a range.

The one in the pot plus my other 3 shadows which I bought in July.

L-R -AMC 60, DS 495, P 439, DS 465.
The yellow in the pot was half price, which ended up being $12.50 for some reason that it is more than the others. *maybe because it was in a pot?*

Inglot thoughts: Love the texture of every single one I have, they are so buttery & pigmented! The only gripe I have is that they are so hard to get out of the palette sometimes, even with using the magnet on the lid, you have to be careful not to dig at it! However the palettes are really nice & sturdy, but I'd hate to think of how it would end up if I dropped it on tiles.

Blush:
MAC Mineralize blush in Warm Soul, Inglot Face Blush 51.
Firstly before Inglot I went into Mecca Cosmetica (They sell NARS, Stila, By Terry ETC) to see if they had MAC.. they didn't as I had asked for it, but soon discovered that they had MAC in Myers at Booragoon (I never noticed it before!) I guess she didn't want to tell me so I would buy from them instead! W.S was $43 and the Inglot blush was $22.
L-R Warm Soul, Inglot 51.

I had only bought W.S as one of my newly fave youtubers ChloeMorello wears it so often, but I didn't even test it before I bought it, and she is quite tanned so I hope it looks ok on me. :) Both colours especially the Inglot one came up so much pigmentedon a brush on me.

More Goodies:
Technically I did not buy these but my lovely cousin didn't use them so she gave them to me :D
L-R Vani-T Eye Crayons, Napolean Perdis Set Liquid  Eyeliner's, Bloom Lip Butters.

These Vani-T Eye Crayons are very similar to NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils, except probably more creamier. Oh and I just found out they are wind-able which is easier than sharpening. The most annoying thing is that you can't tell which colour is which from the outside. I go through them all to find the one I want!
I'm not sure what these retail at, but I know you can buy it from Hairmart. *ETD: I looked online and these are mainly in Australia. They also retail at $29.80 each 0.o which is something I normally wouldn't spend on pencils if I found dupes.*

I'm not really a fan of NP at all, but these eyeliners are pretty nice... the black one is a really nice inky black! The brush is really thin though, which makes it harder if you're not used to liquid eyeliner.

Bloom Lip Butters in A Natural Women & Who's That Girl. Fairly sheer, moisturizing lip products. I like the way they smell and they would be handy to keep in my bag.

Thanks so much for looking, I hope my swatches will help for choosing colours. I know it made it a lot easier for me to look at swatches beforehand.

Recent Empties + MsAmericanPie's Giveaway!

Agees ago I announced my "Project Empty" but I haven't really posted anything official about it. So I'm slowly getting there, and I mean slowly, haha. I hate to waste products so I'm going to try and use every last ounce. But I think I will give up with most things like blushes & lip products which will take ages to hit pan on. So I'm not really sticking to it properly but who really follows rules :P
So this post will include other products that I did not mention in my other post.

Hair & Skin Products

-Wella SP Colour Save Shampoo
-Wella SP Hyrdate Conditioner
Now it normally takes me forever to use up my 'poo & conditioner as I only wash my hair 2-3x a week.  (Sounds ew but my hair doesn't need any more, trust me.) So yaya I finally finished them, getting every single drop out haha.
-Bio Touch Color Protecting Conditioning spray
I always use a similar product to this after every wash to help my colour last longer, so now I have finally used this up. yaay.
-Avon Body Lotion (sparkling cherry blossom)
Not a special lotion but it does the job.
- Australian Emu Oil
perfect for applying straight out of the shower. Must.Buy.More!!
-DMK Biogen C Cream & Herb & Mineral Mist- Daily uses for me but now the bottles will come in handy for other things!

Cosmetics
-Verry old Covergirl concealer. In P.E it was almost empty anyway, but now that's one chunky item I can get rid of :D
-Rimmel Cream blush- This is another extremely old item and since I've hit a bit of pan, it really is too gross to use anymore. & Good riddance I say!
Top Left-Mode Concealer - looks like a lot more is left than what there is.
-Nyx Concealer Magic wands in Medium & Light. Couldn't tell buy the bottles but they are actually see through. I will keep using it for a little while as there is still some but then I can finally get rid of these. Woohoo :)

Eyeliners-  L'Oreal Voluminous eyeliner. Useless as you can see. Lancome Artliner; I bought this as a 'tester' off ebay so I don't think it was genuine anyway (for $14 I highly doubt it!) but it starts off well but then dries out after a few swipes. I have other eyeliners I like better anyway :D

So that's it for the empties for now, for some reason I lost my E.L.F Eyebrow kit but that was almost dunzo anyway! I was also on a non-official  no buy for the month of august (after my last haul) & most of september (going to the city to haul, YAY!) I did last well except for a lipstick I bought on sale- Hey I could have bought more, right!? :)

Thank you for taking the time to read this if you did. (pat on the back- not the most exciting post in this world.)

One more thing- I want to mention a giveaway that MsAmericanPie is holding for her fairly new blog if you could check it out it would mean a lot to her.
Cute, right? There are 3 more cute prizes like this to win as well. Click her name just up there to enter.

P.S darling if you read this for some reason I can leave a comment but it wont let me scroll down to read enter the captcha? So if you see this my comment is- I would love to try them all, especially the blush & lipgloss!
Goodluck to everybody else entering it. :-)

Green Eyeshadow, 2 ways.

I hadn't really have done a green look in foreveer, and lets just say I had some idea's in my head & they actually turned out the way I wanted it to, for once! Greens can be worn toned down in more 'earthy' ways or if you like, you can wear them brightly even if it's just a pop of green or over the whole lid.

 Look 1, Mossy Greens

I have no idea what I used on my face... but it's probably the same old foundations I'm trying to use up (why do they seem never ending!!) & also the Sportsgirl blush
~Eyes
Nyx Slide on Eyeliner Pencil in Green Papaya all over the lid & lower lashline
I used all Makeup Geek Eyeshadows
1: Shimmermint
2: Poison Ivy
3:Envy- over Nyx Black Bean JEP
4: Seamist
5: Shimma Shimma
Before I applied Seamist I blended Vanilla Bean from envy out to the brow bone so they would blend better together.
Maybelline Master Precise eyeliner- No idea how I missed those couple of spots, grrr.

Lips: Revlon Matte Lipstick in Strawberry Suede with lip balm for gloss.

Look 2- Bright Greens
It seems like I haven't cranked out the 120 palette in FOREVER, and this time I wanted to do a briiight green with matte colours to practice blending.
I couldn't get many decent pictures so this will have to do. Also I did this in a hurry so the eyeliner is terrible.
 Nyx JEP in Milk
120 palette for all the colours used.
Maybelline Master Precise
You can see where I got lazy and didn't apply the JEP on the lower lashline, what a difference it makes!

Thanks everyone for looking, I hope you all like! How do you like to wear green eyeshadow?

Two Spring Fresh Makeup Looks

Woo, no more winter here, and so far the first weekend of spring had been amazing! And then of course it's been freezing during the week but this weekend is meant to get better again.
It was perfect weather especially as I had a friend come down from interstate, and it had been 11 years so it was perfect to do all the touristy things & go to the beach.

This makeup was done a while ago now but it will probably be a go-to spring look as it was so easy & light for warmer weather.
Look 1

~Products~
*not sure on face, probably my project empty foundations*
Revlon Floral Affair Hushed Blush

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Yogurt
Sleek Storm Palette- 1: Lid/ Highlight
2: Crease
3: Outer V & into crease
4: Blended with 2
Lancome Artliner

Lips: Revlon Colorburst in Candy Pink

Look 2
I broke my unofficial no-buy (which was for the month of August, so it happened right at the end) and bought Maybelline Coral Crush as it was on special and I've seen so many nice swatches of it. Unfortunately it did not show up as nice on my camera, also I had concealer on my lips which made it lighter.

"Lipstick Selfie" Just for giggles :P
Can't remember too much for a full product list, lol...
but preeetty sure I used the Naked 1 Palette, my fave lid combo atm is Virgin + Sin. And Naked in the crease & Maybelline Master Precise eyeliner. Blush is probably a Sportsgirl one from my project empty & lips is of course, Coral Crush.

And to show you how beautiful it was last weekend. Not teasing, most of y'all have already had your lovely warm weather :).

Thanks for looking, In the warmer weather it always feels good to wear lighter makeup, so I hope you like my spring looks!
